Equations of fluid dynamics with the ℓ–conformal Galilei symmetry

چکیده
Equations of fluid dynamics are formulated, which hold invariant under the action l-conformal Galilei group. They include conventional continuity equation, a higher order material derivative analogue Euler and suitable modification equation state. Conserved charges associated with symmetry transformations presented.

Deformed Galilei symmetry
A particular deformation of central extended Galilei group is considered. It is shown that the deformation influences the rules of constructing the composed systems while one particle states remain basically unaffected. In particular the mass appeared to be non additive.
متن کاملEquations of Motion and Galilei Invariance in D-Particle Dynamics
As a continuation of our previous work on the multi-body forces of D-particles in supergravity and Matrix theory, we investigate the problem of motion. We show that the scattering of D-particles including recoil derived in Matrix theory is precisely reproduced by supergravity with the discrete light-cone prescription up to the second order in 11 dimensional Newton constant. An intimate connecti...
متن کاملGoverning Equations of Fluid Dynamics
(1) Because all of CFD is based on these equations, it is important for each student to feel very comfortable with these equations before continuing further with his or her studies, and certainly before embarking on any application of CFD to a particular problem. (2) This author assumes that the attendees of the present VKI short course come from varied background and experience. Some of you ma...
متن کاملGalilei-invariant equations for massive fields
Galilei-invariant equations for massive fields with various spins have been found and classified. They have been derived directly, i.e., by using requirement of the Galilei invariance and various facts on representations of the Galilei group deduced in the paper written by de Montigny M, Niederle J and Nikitin A G, J. Phys. A 39, 1-21, 2006. A completed list of non-equivalent Galileiinvariant w...
متن کاملFluid Dynamics: The Navier-Stokes Equations
Classical mechanics, the father of physics and perhaps of scientific thought, was initially developed in the 1600s by the famous natural philosophers (the codename for ’physicists’) of the 17th century such as Isaac Newton building on the data and observations of astronomers including Tycho Brahe, Galileo, and Johannes Kepler. Classical mechanics concerns itself with the mathematical descriptio...
